經過長長的假期，還有長長的學期，最後長長的日期。完成這些初步的小事，再來就是很多的大事啦！

和學校正式告別！這段期間的行事和說法都是在收拾整理中更加了解自已，像是運氣的爆發，每週的約談掙扎，大把大把時間投擲給那個長不大的自己，送給自己一些磨難和停滯，空餘的省視和機械般的放空，感謝，再感謝的搖擺著的一切。

共八部電影，和一部影集第一集

課名落落長，ＢＵＴ老師專業是管理相關的

教學內容為認識拉丁美洲的歷史政治與文化

然後身為訪問學者並不會在學校待著。接著會到其他國家去教書再回美國我覺著老師人挺好的，從他的行事作風而言。對學生們來說也可能算是制度下的一種文化衝突了

拉美電影中那些奇妙的POINT

 “The Mission” is a movie revised and based on the historical events in 18^th century, and it mainly talks about the experiences of the missionary in South America, also shows how the interest of regimes like Spain, Portugal and power of church affect the local Jesuit reductions. This movie is directed by Roland Joffé and released in 1986. Starred by Robert De Niro (Rodrigo Mendoza) and Jeremy Irons (Father Gabriel), and the movie was written by Robert Bolt. It won the Palme d'Or and the Academy Award for Best Cinematography. The music, scored by Italian composer Ennio Morricone, ranked 1st on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's (ABC) Classic 100 Music in the Movies.

這是我看的第一部有關拉丁美洲的電影，相當不適應敘事手法，也陌生於其社會歷史背景。我認為，在電影「教會」裡使用大量的象徵手法，讓畫面和音效搭配起來更加豐富而壯闊。大自然聲音的交錯、宗教和音樂的交融，短短幾句話當然是無法完整形容所交代的故事。

看完這部真實歷史改編的電影，僅僅是一窺拉丁美洲的冰山一角罷了，推薦有興趣的朋友可以去找來看看啦。

＊曼波王

The Mambo kings is a 1992 French-American musical drama film based on the 1989 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love by Oscar Hijuelos. It was directed by Arne Glimcher and starred by Armand Assante and Antonio Banderas. This film is about the brothers Nestor Castillo and Cesar Castillo go to America from Cuba and have dramatic lives.

曼波王是音樂劇電影，因此常常會有人唱著歌然後跳到下個篇章，講的是兩個兄弟因故從古巴到紐約來組成曼波樂團，後來遭遇的各種故事。裡頭有很多美麗的音樂，穿插當時的時代背景，像是美國對於曼波的狂熱，以及電視節目宣傳如何影響大眾的取向等等，而這對兄弟不同的個性如何和美國文化產生衝突和融合，也會是一個看點。

有興趣的朋友們可以找來看看，不過說真的這真是部老電影啊。

＊精靈之家

The film “The house of spirits” is adapted from the well-known novel written by Isabel Allende in 1993. The novel was named Best Novel of the Year in Chile in 1982, and Allende received the country's Panorama Literario award. Its background was implied the politics and society of Chile during the 1920s to 1970s. The story contained the four generations of this family. The film started from the ending part that making description that the whole pictures were from the detailed diary of Clara. Clara was the daughter of the famous family, and she had ability to predict the future things and let the objects floating while she couldn’t change anything in the future. The death of her older sister Rosa was also predicted. Clara had kept silence since the death of her sister. She also knew that she would fall in love with the former fiancé of Rosa, Esteban Trueba in the future. Esteban bought the manor and worked hard to become rich person. He once rapped the labor in his farm and had an illegitimate child. After his mother passed away, he lived with his unmarried older sister Ferula. Meeting Clara at church, Esteban went to propose Clara and they soon got married like destined. And Clara started speaking again. 

電影精靈之家，說的是以智利為社會背景框架下的魔幻世代家族的故事。注意：女主人有預知未來的能力，同時對未來的一切無能為力。故事總共包含多個世代的人們，他們或成功或失敗，或人格缺陷或擁有神秘的力量，或是站在相反的立場上，有衝突和和解，交代內容相當豐富的一部電影。

如上頭重複提醒的一般，想要看懂電影，記得先維基一番，故事中的男女老幼，沒有誰善誰惡，更多的是命運會降臨，而我們必須接受的說法，能改變的只有自己的選擇，當然這是我所感受的情感，每個人觀看以後，也許會產生不同的看法也不一定。

推薦給各位精靈之家，人物有點太多，劇情給他有點錯綜複雜，但有點耐心，有點好奇的話，慢慢的，然後，就能夠看得完的。

＊艾維塔

“Evita” is a musical filmed by William Parker, and starred by Madonna and José Antonio Domínguez Banderas in 1996. The film is a musical about two famous populist leaders in early 20th-century Latin America, Juan Perón and his wife Eva Duarte, usually known as Evita. 

In the first part of the film, the crying little girl Eva Duarte was taken away from his rich father’s funeral, and also staggered with the funeral of Eva herself. It presented the Eva’s background as a child born out of wedlock. And it after showed that she didn’t have good feeling to those high-class people. Going through the whole film, a man was singing and sometimes joining the plots. This man was a virtue character once written in the original musical. According to the data, he didn’t belong to the stories, and his debut was to ridicule and criticize Evita. Therefore, the film was even prohibited played in Argentina.

音樂劇艾維塔，算是偏向嘲諷和藝術向的敘事手法，像是有劇情外的第三個人唱著歌諷刺女主角，我這還真第一次見到。剛看著可能不太習慣。以阿根廷前第一夫人艾維塔的生命故事作為基礎，切換各個階段的處事風格，和息息相關的政治風向。

可以說影片中重要的主題在呈現二十世紀初的阿根廷，如何在民粹主義下，在艾維塔夫妻的操作下，翻轉選舉，也藉著口號和階級的勢力，影響一個國家的人民偏向。

作為一部音樂劇，相較其他的電影主題算是比較輕鬆的切入方式來認識劇情內容了。推薦給想聽音樂也想認識阿根廷的各位。

＊芙烈達

“Frida” is the film about life of Mexico famous surrealism artist Frida Kahlo de Rivera. It directed by Julie Taylor and released in 2002. As a Mexican artist, Frida was well known for its paintings about her self-portraits and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico. 

The film started from depicting the two big accidents in Frida’s life. One is the seriously car accident in 1925 which made her unable to walk for months. During that time, she combined her interests in science and art to practice painting in bed. She used a mirror placed above the bed so she could see herself. Gradually, she recovered and needed to earn a living as a painter. Frida was in the other accident for meeting her husband Diego Rivera, which was also Mexican famous artist. They joined the Communist party of Mexico and had same ideal. On the other hand, Diego appreciate the art vision of Frida and they have common topic. Though they had met in 1925, and they had age gap of 21years, they got married in 1929. 

電影芙烈達說的是墨西哥畫家芙烈達的生命故事。電影中使用他的畫作來展現他生命各個階段的自我。從少年時期的重大車禍、和丈夫迪雅歌的認識，描繪出芙烈達對於實踐自我價值、戀愛和對藝術文化的取向。

藉著他在作品上的表現，得以認識墨西哥文化和當時的藝術風格，電影充分表現穿插了寫實和抽象的影像，也還原芙烈達的生活細節。

＊解放者

“The Liberator” is filmed to memorize the great person Simón Bolívar, who leads the northern South America to make revolution and independent. In the first scene of the film, Simón Bolívar met danger, and was asked to jumped out of the window to survive from those who prepared to assassinate him. This is the famous historical event occurring in September, 1828. The woman showed up here was Manuela Sáenz, who saved Simón from this dangerous event, and acted a controversial person for wearing men’s outfits and join in political activities. From her short appearances, they can tell that how different situations were Simón Bolívar faced.

電影解放者，敘述拉丁美洲重要解放領導者之一西蒙波娃的波瀾壯闊的人生。

若是對於時代背景不了解的話，也是很難懂的劇情走向。就像拍攝部為了他們自己的電影那樣，許多故事像是基本知識那樣傳頌著。

因此有興趣的各位記得看完維基百科（英文版本），百度百科上的資料也可以一起參考一番。而學習過後，對於拉美獨立的過程、戰爭發展、勢力推拉等等都能有些認識。不論從歷史或電影角度來看，自己對西蒙波娃的判斷或認知，都可能是建立在不算完整或被證實的訊息之上，然而我想這也是拉丁美洲故事如此精彩而充滿魅力的地方吧。

推薦給想了解拉美政治歷史的朋友，或單純想認識西蒙波娃的人。

＊胡安娜

 In the first episode, it started to talk about the young age period of the 17th-century Mexican poet and writer Juana Inés de la Cruz. I can tell that the people in colonial Mexican was under Spanish governor and church bishop controlled. They could decide what people learn and read. However, as Juana Inés came into the court, there was something change. 

劇集胡安娜，由ＮＥＴＦＩＸ製作拍攝，作為欣賞和認識階段，只看完了第一集，在胡安娜進入新墨西哥宮廷時，遇到那些波折，特別在於作為一名女性，他是怎麼樣的存在。

因為沒有看完全部的內容，我只能說第一集很好看，但同樣的，如果對拉美歷史不太熟悉的話，建議去看看背景資料，再點開來認識胡安娜，對掌握故事來說，會更加深刻而精彩。

＊兩個艾琳

The film “As Duas Irenes” （The Two Irenes）was released in 2017 and directed by Fabio Meira. The film is about the story of Irene, a 13-year-old Brazilian girl, who lives in a small town. Irene often feels that she is ignored in favor of her prettier older sister. One day Irene discovers that her father has another wife in the same town, as well as another daughter who is the same age as her, and who is also named Irene(o). Irene then enters the other Irene(o)’s life and tries to know more about them without exposing the truth. She knows that Neuza makes clothes to earn a living. This mother and daughter has different living environment and living habits. She follows Irene’s schedule to cinema to find something. However, she gets chances to be friends of Irene(o). As time goes by, they congratulate the birthday of their father, who has distinct date of birthday with the same preference food. Irene has known the fact that her father has another family but she doesn’t want to break up the situation. She uses discourses to make temptation to her family, such as her mother Mirinha, sister Solange and even housekeeper Madalena. 

電影兩個艾琳說的是巴西的少女們發現自己的父親在同一小鎮上有兩個家庭的故事。特別的是他們身為女兒先發現了這個事實，然後他們的相遇，交流，在青春期碰上對家人、戀愛議題的看法。

然後我特別印象深刻的是電影的結尾，就不爆雷了。

推薦給有興趣了解故事結尾的朋友們，故事裡其實沒有解釋太多社會背景，模糊掉時代的框架或政治影響，也許只是巴西小鎮裡的某個八卦也不一定，啊，也可能是我漏看小細節，就歡迎各位自行補充。

＊美聲人質

This film is directed by Paul Weitz and adapted from the novel Bel Canto written by Ann Patchett in 2001. It is also based on the hostage incident at the Japanese ambassador’s house in Lima, Peru, in December 1996. It was about a group from a Peruvian guerrilla revolutionary movement took hostage the guests at an embassy party. The guests were from many different nationalities and included a Japanese businessman and his translator, as well as a famous American opera singer. The siege lasted four months and ended with the Peruvian Army storming the ambassador's house. In the meantime, many of the hostages had actually befriended their captors. And it is said that the actual name of the guerrilla group (Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement) and the president of Peru at the time (Fujimori) were changed in the film.

電影美聲人質改編自真實事件，在祕魯的日本大使館受到武裝份子威脅的故事。由於改編自現實的人物，其中的人物和勢力，都有相對應的角色，在處理結尾時也一定程度上的參考了。

不爆雷，或許看完這個故事以後，會有很多複雜的情緒，我感覺這也是電影拍攝安排的情感表達方式，觀眾共感於人質的處境，他們身處的危險性，和他們被困後的情緒變化，將如何影響到觀眾的心境，在這一點來看，我認為這是看完電影後留下最深的餘韻了。

推薦給想認識這起事件的朋友，電影有點改編，但保留重要議題討論，有點複雜莫名，但給點耐心和時間，對於拉美的政治勢力和軍隊等等，都會有一些簡單瞭解。
